Cathy Shipton (born Catherine Ellen Shipton on 27 March 1957 in Lewisham, London) is an English actress best known for originating the role of nurse Lisa “Duffy” Duffin in the BBC medical drama Casualty. A Rose Bruford College graduate (1977–1980), Shipton broke through on British television in the mid-1980s and became one of the most recognisable faces of BBC ensemble drama.
