Kim Fields became one of the most recognisable young actresses on American television in the 1980s through her role as Dorothy 'Tootie' Ramsey, the roller-skating, gossip-loving student at Eastland School in the NBC sitcom The Facts of Life (1979-1988). Cast at just 10 years old, Fields grew up on screen and her natural charm and comedic timing made Tootie one of the show's most beloved characters.

...Fields had appeared in commercials and small roles before The Facts of Life, and the series made her a child star. After the show, she continued to work in television, most notably as Regine Hunter in the Fox sitcom Living Single (1993-1998). She has also worked as a director, helming episodes of various television series. She appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2016 and The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2015-2016.
