Terry Scott (born Owen John Scott; 4 May 1927 – 26 July 1994) was an English comic actor and voice artist whose career encompassed radio, stage, film and television. He began in radio variety and moved into West End farce and pantomime before becoming a familiar face in British comedy films of the 1950s and 1960s, including multiple entries in the Carry On series. On television he formed a longstanding comic partnership with Hugh Lloyd in the 1960s and later with June Whitfield, starring with her in Happy Ever After and its successor Terry and June. From 1981 he provided the voice of Penfold in the animated series Danger Mouse. Scott’s genial, schoolboyish persona made him a regular in light entertainment, commercials and pantomime; ill health in later years curtailed his work and he died in 1994 aged 67.
