The Buggles were a British new wave duo consisting of Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes. They are best known for their landmark 1979 single "Video Killed the Radio Star", which became the first music video ever broadcast on MTV on 1 August 1981. The duo released their debut album "The Age of Plastic" in 1980, blending synth-pop with art rock.
