From Texas bands to the Eagles
Henley began in regional Texas groups (Felicity/Shiloh) before moving to Los Angeles. There he met Glenn Frey and, with Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon, co‑founded the Eagles in 1971. As drummer, lead singer on many tracks, and chief songwriter (often with Frey), Henley established his reputation in the 1970s music scene. [1]
